In the UK, we purchase over 2 million tonnes of new clothing and shoes every year. However, we also throw away 900,000 items of clothing annually. This creates a huge amount of waste, and a lot of it ends up in landfill.

When clothing and shoes are discarded, they often end up in landfill. At CoOptions, we are working to break this cycle of waste by reusing as many textiles as possible within our local communities. Last year, we stopped many tonnes of textiles from going to landfill, making a significant impact on reducing waste.
