Fferm Cornel Derwen is a social enterprise creating meaningful small farming opportunities for people with learning disabilities. We’re a small farm producing high-quality fruits and vegetables, grown naturally without chemicals or pesticides—because we believe in keeping our produce pure and sustainable.
Our Farm and Produce
Throughout the year, we produce a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, along with fresh, free-range eggs from our happy hens. We also have a small herd of friendly alpacas that add to the farm’s unique character. You’re welcome to stop by and purchase produce from our farm gate honesty box, located on Caerwys Road, LL17 0TU.
Empowering Through Farming
People supported at Fferm Cornel Derwen participate in every aspect of farm life—from planting, harvesting, and tending to crops to animal care and general land maintenance. Working on the farm isn’t always easy, as we’re out in all weather, but the benefits are immense. This experience helps individuals develop new skills, build confidence, and enjoy the rewards of working closely with nature.
Our Environmental Commitment
Sustainability is at the heart of our farm. Our solar barn powers the farm and allows us to sell surplus energy back to the grid. We also undertake various environmental projects, such as pond restoration, wild meadow planting, and tree planting, to enhance biodiversity and maintain a balanced ecosystem.
