Our Story
CoOptions was founded in 1989 by Andy Lowe, our Managing Director, who started his career in social care. Driven by a desire to be a force for change, Andy set out to create an organisation that would give people with learning disabilities greater choice, independence, and opportunities to thrive. Over 35 years later, CoOptions continues to serve as a cornerstone of support and empowerment for individuals within our community.
Our Social Enterprises
Since its founding, CoOptions has introduced a diverse range of social enterprises in areas such as small farming, arts and crafts, catering, cycling, recycling, retailing, and supported employment. This variety of initiatives ensures that there is something for everyone, enabling individuals to find a setting where they feel supported and empowered.
