What do Squash Oils do ?

Squash Oils have set up a processing plant for converting used cooking oil into 100% Biodiesel fuel.

We collect your used oil for FREE and we make it into Biodiesel. We run our vehicles on the fuel we make. We then use our vehicles to support people with learning disabilities into work that is beneficial for the person and the community..

This bits important to us. We do not import feedstock ,oils or anything else from developing countries. We use only local waste oil, to produce our fuel. Honest.

Benefits to local companies

Many companies will charge to collect used oil, we will not only come to you to collect it, there will be absolutely no charge for doing so. We will even provide you with collection barrels. This offers you a free service as well as the great feeling that you are helping contribute to an innovative initiative with an environmentally conscious ethic .

Initially, we intend to use the Biodiesel produced to run our own fleet of vehicles, we hope that we will expand further in the future enabling us to offer a Biodiesel fuel service to other like-minded people or businesses.

What is Biodiesel?

Biodiesel fuel can be used in Diesel engines as an alternative to conventional fossil Diesel. It is produced by processing used cooking oil by a process called ‘transesterification’

Why  use Biodiesel?

Traditional diesel releases harmful emissions into the atmosphere. Our bio fuel is carbon neutral. This means that the same amount of carbon is released into the atmosphere when the fuel is burnt as it took out in the first place during the growth cycle.

· Less carbon dioxide released.

· Less nitrous oxides are produced.

· Less carbon monoxide is produced.

· Virtually zero sulphur oxide is emitted.

· 98% biodegradable after 21 days.
